DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker Immediately

by   Andreas Athol At 15 May 2012 Hour 06:38 AM

This has been a great machine. I would suggest that you read all of the instructions b/f you get started. This will probably cut down on many of the errors for espresso making. I had to play around with it to get a good foam, but once I figured it out, it works like a charm! Some have commented about the drip try becoming discolored. I would suggest that you rinse it off and dry it after every use (or every other use). Just take care of the machine and it will take care of you!

DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker Best Quality

by   Andreas Athol At 8 May 2012 Hour 06:38 AM

After spending over $450 per year at Starbucks, and not always getting a good latte. I bought this Delonghi expresso maker. It is wonderfully easy to use and clean for my one a cup latte daily.

DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker Get It Now!

by   Andreas Athol At 1 May 2012 Hour 06:37 AM

I have tried much more expensive machines that grind the beans and can be programed to make more than one cup at a time, those machines can be in the 1,000 to 2,000 dollar range! This machine makes the same great tasting Espresso/Cappuccino for about [...] bucks at Macys! Just one at a time and you need to either load an ESE Pod or do your own Tamping with already ground Espresso Beans. This machine is very easy to clean, very simple to use and for the price, I dont think you can get a better 15 bar pump driven machine. The only down side would be that the Pods can be a little expensive, and they are the easiest most consistent way to get a perfect shot each time, thats Read more

DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker Buy Now

by   Andreas Athol At 28 April 2012 Hour 06:37 AM

very good espresso maker. only used less than 10x. im used to the industrial size espresso machines at work. the crema comes out pretty good if you make everything at the right consistency. the ground press is awful. go buy a separate one to press the coffee grounds. takes a while to heat up, but that’s expected. you must clean everything up after which can take awhile.. i think this will be for weekend use only when i have the time to go through all the steps and clean up.

DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker Order Now

by   Andreas Athol At 15 April 2012 Hour 06:37 AM

This is a wonderfully working appliance, a real steal for the price. Do not take low reviews close to heart: you gotta know how to operate a machine before complaining. The filter will leak sideways if you grind coffee too fine in any machine, so experiment with different grinds to find a perfect one for you! Milk frother works excellently, and it doesn’t matter that it’s positioned too low for a large pitcher — IT’S A TWO-SHOT MACHINE, not an industrial cappuccino maker!!! A 12-oz. milk pitcher (about 7 dollars on amazon) is a great match if you’re making a cup of the delicious drink. You won’t be ableRead more

DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker Decide Now

by   Andreas Athol At 8 April 2012 Hour 06:37 AM

I bought this for my husband and it loves it. He says the coffee he makes is better than Starbucks. Just use fresh coffee beans from Whole Foods.

DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker Right Now

by   Andreas Athol At 1 April 2012 Hour 06:37 AM

This is a very well designed, solidly built machine. Everything is well thought out (like the steamer head, which is, as another reviewer said, not just a piece of plastic, it really helps aerate the milk and get nice froth).

The pump is good, does the job of getting the pressurized water through the filter, the espresso comes out well (remember to tamp the coffee well), nice color, good crema.

two things you should remember:
1. it’s more difficult to make espresso than instant coffee. You really have to get used to this rather than complain about the machine.

2. you have to clean the machine every so often, and it really does affect the quality of the coffeRead more

Purchase DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker

by   Andreas Athol At 28 March 2012 Hour 06:37 AM

I ordered this espresso machine after my Krups machine died. I had another machine in mind, but it was $800 and a bit out of what we could spend at the time. After reading the reviews of this machine, I decided it was worth a try, it was rated better than the Krups machine we made work for us for 3 years, so it couldn’t be a total waste. I was very pleased once I started using it.

It is a very short machine, so only small shot glasses or something of similar height can fit under to catch the espresso, but so far that is the only drawback I have run into. It heats milk quickly, it warms up much more quickly than the directions say as well. The espresso tastes pretty decent asRead more

Order DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker

by   Andreas Athol At 15 March 2012 Hour 06:36 AM

Bad product. Returned it yesterday for a Lello 1375. I have more pressure in my lungs that that pump could ever muster. It simply couldn’t pull a half decent shot of espresso. If you attempt to slightly tamp the grounds on the holder (I’m talking 2-5 pounds of pressure), the machine won’t pass liquid through (you are supposed to tamp at 30 pounds of pressure). The only way to get the machine to make coffee was to leave the grounds very loose and it tasted watery because of this. There is also no clearance for anything larger than a shot glass. Hopefully the Lello 1375 is much better.

Where To Buy DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker

by   Andreas Athol At 8 March 2012 Hour 06:36 AM

Home espresso machines have usually two non-negotiable functions. One is the making of the espresso, and the other is the production of steam for foaming milk. The DeLonghi Espresso Maker accomplishes both, and sits on a space smaller than my standard coffee brewer.

Working well is the creation of an average espresso. The water heats quickly, and the pressure is enough to generate a sweet crema. The taste compares with most coffeehouse espressos.

Making froth is not as easy as the manufacturer implies. The steam spigot hangs low, meaning only the smallest of mugs can fit. In my case, to also avoid milk splash, I turn it so that the spigot hangs over the counter. Inevitably, a mix of water and milk drips to the floor. Similarly, the spigot drips while heating up.

Cleaning is not hassle-free. The removable tray does as intended. The underlining tray does not. Coffee drips there, and dries, and is difficult to removeRead more
